A bit of history…

The castle featured in the Stocks S6400 photograph is Chepstow Castle, the oldest surviving post-Roman stone fortification in  Britain located in beautiful Chepstow, Wales. The castle was commissioned by William the conqueror in 1067 along the river Wye to protect Norman England from the Welsh kingdom. The castle is now open to the public and is located along the river Wye walk hiking trail, and right out front of the castle is the Three Tuns Inn, a great pub and hotel, recommended by JKL staff!.
